An exciting Supersport Race One in the final round of NZSBK has just finished with a battle for first between John Ross and Glen Skachill. Both riders broke the previous lap record and gave spectators a great show until Glen Skachill ran wide and slid off the track. Luckily he was able to pick up his bike and get back in the competition, but lost too much time to catch up to John Ross on the Yamaha R6, finishing up in eighth.
John Ross’ best lap was 1:07:859 leaving the rest of the pack behind with a lead of 8.846 seconds.
It was an excellent race for John, and puts him in a good position for the championship with the final race of the season this afternoon.
